Umanmielan previously visited Texas during the summer on June 15 as well.
Along with Texas, Umanmielan holds seven others offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Oklahoma, SMU, TCU, Tulsa, and UTEP. Although it’s still early in his recruiting process, the rival Sooners hold two of his three Crystal Ball projections with Texas Tech owning the other.
At 6’4, 240 pounds, Umanmielen is a composite three-star prospect. He is ranked No. 422 nationally, No. 23 at his position, and No. 55 in the state of Texas, per 247Sports. Umanmielan is listed at No. 288 in ESPN’s top junior 300 recruiting rankings.
This marks the fourth defensive end offered by Texas in their 2020 class. Umanmielan joins four-star talents Prince Dorbah, Darnell Washington, and Vernon Broughton.
