The Texas Longhorns are reaching back into familiar territory in hopes of plucking away an out-of-state prospect currently pledged elsewhere.
On Tuesday, the Texas staff put an offer on the table for 2020 Arizona State athlete commit T Lee, a Buford (Ga.) product and and former teammate of Longhorns running back signee Derrian Brown.
God is Good...Blessed to say I've received an offer from The University of Texas! #HookEm @Coach_Davis22 @BufordProspects @ChadSimmons_ @AllenTrieu @Trapp_SETA229 @harrison2121 @DomoSportsGroup @BrownDerrian pic.twitter.com/RfyMUHkI1D— T Lee | ‘2020 (@gfk_13) January 22, 2019
Lee announced his commitment to the Sun Devils late last November, but his recruitment has only added more momentum with offers since rolling in from Michigan State, Alabama, and now Texas throughout the past week.
Lee now boasts nearly two dozen offers with Oregon, Kentucky, Nebraska, and Tennessee among the others in the mix. In fact, Lee unofficially visited the Volunteers on Nov. 27 just days after his commitment to Arizona State.
A 5’11, 172-pound prospect who can play both wide receiver and defensive back, Lee is ranked as the nation’s No. 516 player, No. 41 athlete, and as the No. 53 player in Georgia, per the 247Sports Composite.
