One of the nation’s premier 2021 interior talents is now officially on the Texas Longhorns’ radar.
On Thursday, Tom Herman and the Texas staff put an offer on the table for elite Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley defensive tackle Payton Page, he announced on Twitter.

A 6’4, 315-pound prospect, Page’s Texas offer becomes his 18th overall, as the Longhorns join programs such as Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, Penn State, Tennessee, and Texas A&M in pursuit of the top 20 prospect. He now becomes just the second 2021 defensive tackle to notch a Texas offer, joining Sammamish (Wa.) Eastside Catholic product J.T. Tuimoloau, who’s currently ranked as the No. 1 player in the 2021 class, regardless of position.
As a sophomore, Page stuffed the stat sheet in praiseworthy fashion, totaling 80 tackles, a mind-boggling 26 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, and 21 quarterback hurries.
Page is ranked as the nation’s No. 19 player, No. 3 defensive tackle, and as the No. 1 player in North Carolina, per 247Sports.
