More than half of the schools that have extended offers to highly-touted 2021 Duncanville inside linebacker Kendrick Blackshire now find themselves on the outside looking in.
On Tuesday, the four-star talent made his initial list cut, trimming his list of 27 options to a top 13. The Texas Longhorns survived the cut, alongside Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Florida State, Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Michigan State, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Florida, and Miami.
These will be the schools I will be focusing on ❤️‼️‼️ the door is still open to ever school ‼️ thanks for the edit @Hayesfawcett3 ‼️ pic.twitter.com/y3svyAQgjX

A teammate of Texas quarterback commit Ja’Quinden Jackson, Blackshire has already made a pair of trips to Austin, with the first coming in mid-January and then again two months later in mid-March. Blackshire has made multiple trips to Texas A&M, LSU, and Alabama, as well, in addition to trips to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
At this fairly early point in his recruitment, Alabama, LSU, and Oklahoma have each received Crystal Ball picks for the Dallas-area star.
The 6’2, 250-pound Blackshire is currently ranked as the nation’s No. 110 player overall and as the No. 2 inside linebacker in the 2021 class, per the 247Sports Composite.
