It appears that Shaka Smart and his staff have a major recruiting weekend on tap, as 2020 wings Matthew Murrell and Micah Peavy, and 2021 guard Langston Love are expected to visit the Texas Longhorns in the coming days, per a report from Orangebloods’ Dustin McComas.

A top 45 prospect nationally out of IMG Academy (Fla.), per the 247Sports Composite, Murrell has a top five that features Texas, Villanova, Auburn, Florida, and Vanderbilt, where he officially visited in early October.

Murrell’s Crystal Ball heavily favors the Commodores ahead of his trip to Austin.

Peavy, a four-star small forward out of Duncanville, will be making a return trip to Austin, and this time around, he’ll be officially visiting the Horns. Joining Texas as top options at this point are Texas Tech, TCU, and Florida, and much like Murrell, he, too, is projected to take his talents elsewhere with the Red Raiders looming as the heavy favorite.

Love will also be in Austin this weekend on an official basis.

A five-star shooting guard out of Montverde Academy (Fla.), Love’s recruitment is still fairly wide open with Villanova, Kansas, and Stanford among others involved. The nation’s second-best shooting guard prospect, per the 247Sports Composite, Love officially visited the Cardinal on Oct. 4, so his trip to Austin will be his second official visit.

Smart and the Horns are still seeking their first pledge in both the 2020 and 2021 classes.
