As Shaka Smart and his staff remain in search of the first addition to the Texas Longhorns’ 2020 class, a key target will announce his decision in the coming days.
On Monday, four-star Duncanville small forward Micah Peavy will announce his college decision as he chooses from a final four that features Texas, Texas Tech, TCU, and Florida.

A late addition to Texas’ 2020 big board, Peavy picked up his longhorns offer on April 27, which is the same day he announced that he was re-opening his recruitment beyond his previously-named top five list.
After visiting Austin during the summer, Peavy returned just weeks ago for an official visit on Oct. 18, but it doesn’t appear that his latest trip to the Forty Acres was enough to swing things in the Horns’ favor.
Entering the final few days of Peavy’s recruitment, the Red Raiders are currently considered the overwhelming favorites, owning all nine of his Crystal Ball projections.
The 6’5, 172-pound wing is ranked as the nation’s No. 11 small forward prospect and as the No. 2 talent in Texas, per the 247Sports Composite.
