A Texas Longhorns are now one significant step closer to potentially landing an elite legacy prospect.
On Wednesday evening, 2021 Fort Worth All Saints Episcopal offensive tackle Tommy Brockermeyer listed the Longhorns among his top five, along with some of college football’s premier program’s in Clemson, Alabama, LSU, and Auburn.
This is gonna be an incredibly hard decision.

Michigan, Baylor, Florida, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Stanford are among the 17 programs that didn’t survive Brockermeyer’s initial list cut.
The son of former Longhorns an NFL offensive tackle Blake Brockermeyer, Tommy has been a mainstay on the Forty Acres throughout his recruitment, which is to be expected given his status as an elite in-state legacy prospect. Furthermore, it can only help the Texas’ odds with the nation’s top-ranked offensive tackle prospect that they’re also recruiting his brother, James, who’s currently dubbed as the nation’s No. 3 center prospect.
As for Tommy, he’s one of just eight 2021 offensive tackle targets with a Texas offer in hand, and of the bunch, he’s regarded as the most highly-touted, with the 247Sports Composite slotting him as the top-ranked talent in Texas and the third-best nationally.
Texas is currently the favorite for Tommy’s services, holding all four of his Crystal Ball projections.
