On Tuesday, Bayou State product Jalen Lee became the latest to notch on offer from the Texas Longhorns, per a report from Rivals’ Sam Spiefelman, adding another factor to a recruitment that’s really taken off throughout these last four months.
Outside of receiving an offer from Texas, Lee, a three-star talent out of Watson (La.) Live Oak, has garnered opportunities from Missouri and Oregon within the last 24 hours.

The interior defensive force has seen a tremendous boost in his stock recently and has now reached a total of 19 offers from programs like Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
Currently, Texas has extended an offer to six defensive tackles in this current cycle. With Lee grabbing an offer, the Horns are now pursuing three defensive tackles out of The Boot. Univeristy Lab (Baton Rouge, La.) star Jaquelin Roy and Alexandria (La.) standout Jacobian Guillory are the other two prospects.
At 6’3, 285 pounds, Lee is ranked as the No. 35 defensive tackle in the nation and No. 15 overall prospect in Louisiana, according to 247Sports Composite.
