The Longhorns are just the 12th university that Whitehead has received an opportunity from, but schools like Colorado, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Michigan, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Wisconsin are the Power 5 programs that stand out on his list at the moment.
Whitehead is listed as a running back and an inside linebacker, according to 247Sports, and will most likely play on the second level of the defense at the next level.
At 6’1, 230 pounds, Whitehead has remarkable athleticism that will help him along the way as he develops over the years. The Georgia-native has clocked a 40-yard dash at 4.80 seconds and has a 38.8 inch vertical jump.
Thus far this offseason, Whithead has visited Georgia Tech and Tennesse, but the home-state Georgia Bulldogs are currently considering the team to beat, owning each of his four Crystal Ball picks.
Whitehead is ranked as the nation’s No. 222 player overall, as the No. 7 inside linebacker, and as the No. 24 prospect in Georgia, per the 247Sports Composite.
