Yet another out-of-state prospect now has a Texas Longhorns offer in hand, as Blairstown (N.J.) Blair Academy small forward Jabri Abdur-Rahim took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to announce an offer from Shaka Smart’s program.

The son of Shareef Abdur-Rahim, who enjoyed a 13-year NBA career and earned an NBA All-Star appearance in 2002, Abdur-Rahim is now owner to 31 scholarship offers, with the Longhorns joining Villanova, Michigan, Kansas, Maryland, Virginia, and Florida in the mix, among numerous others. The four-star wing stuffed the stat sheet as a junior, averaging 17.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.7 blocks per contest en route to New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year honors, and his stock has only continued to soar throughout the EYBL circuit.
Thus far, only Georgia has earned a Crystal Ball pick for the nation’s No. 60 prospect and No. 16 small forward, per the 247Sports Composite.
The 6’5, 185-pound Abdur-Rahim now joins fellow four-star wings such as Mount Pleasant (Utah) Wasatch Academy product Caleb Lohner and Duncanville standout Micah Peavy on Texas’ radar.
