Yet another one of the state’s top prospects is now officially on Shaka Smart’s radar.

On Sunday morning, the Texas Longhorns’ latest offer went out to 2021 Allen combo guard Manny Obaseki, he announced on Twitter.

The Texas’ invitation marked Obaseki’s second of the morning, as Texas A&M also put an offer on the table. Beyond the two in-state recruiting rivals now vying for his services, Obaseki owns offers from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Baylor, Iowa State, Notre Dame, and TCU, among others.

A member of NBA guard Emmanuel Mudiay’s AAU squad, Mudiay Elite, Obaseki is averaging 15.5 points on a 53 percent shooting clip throughout the spring and summer, including a 39-percent success rate from the perimeter. Elsewhere, Obaseki is contributing 4.9 boards and 1.9 assists per contest. He’s currently among the top 10 scorers in the league and a top 20 rebounder.

Including the 6’2, 160-pound Obaseki, who’s currently considered to be the No. 5 prospect in Texas and the No. 4 combo guard, per the 247Sports Composite, Texas is now in pursuit of three of the top five talents in the Lone Star State’s 2021 class has to offer. The Horns also have offers out to five-star Cibolo Steele shooting guard Langston Love and five-star Houston Texas Christian School center Jerrell Colbert.
