On Friday afternoon, 2021 Katy Tomkins strong-side defensive end Tunmise Adeleye cut more than a dozen programs from his recruitment.
With 26 offers to choose from, the four-star edge rusher trimmed his options to 10 schools, naming Texas, Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M as the teams he’ll continue to consider.

Austin has become a bit of a second home for the four-star talent.
Adeleye has made a handful of trips to the Forty Acres since last summer, with his most recent visit taking place just weeks ago on June 22.
“It’s just a family atmosphere up there,” Adeleye told BON this spring. “Everything is about family. Coach Herman is a family man, Coach Giles is a family man, and Coach [Craig] Naivar. It’s just a lot of family values over at Texas.”
The Katy Tompkins product’s sensational frame and length, ability to maintain tremendous explosion off the ball, and overall athleticism makes him a valuable option for each of his remaining options. As a sophomore, Adeleye utilized such a skill set to the tune of 53 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and eight sacks.
Adeleye is one of five uncommitted strong-side defensive ends with a Texas offer in hand, and at No. 48 nationally and No. 4 at his position, per the 247Sports Composite, he’s the most highly ranked of the bunch.
Thus far, Crystal Ball picks have been placed in favor of Texas, Oklahoma, and Alabama.
