Longhorns offer 2022 California RB Jaylen Thompson

On Wednesday afternoon, Tom Herman and his staff offered yet another 2022 running back prospect, as Playa Del Rey (Calif.) St. Bernard product Jaylen Thompson announced an offer from the Texas Longhorns.

Now the seventh 2022 running back with an opportunity to take his talents to Austin, Thompson’s Texas offer brings his total to 12, with other invitations stemming from Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon, Penn State, and USC; all this despite having only one varsity season beneath his belt.

Currently regarded as a three-star talent, the 5’9, 180-pound Thompson is currently ranked as the nation’s No. 37 running back prospect and as the No. 38 player in California, per 247Sports.
