The Texas Longhorns are now the latest to throw their name in the hat for one of the nation’s elite defensive tackle talents, as Tom Herman’s program put an offer on the table for Greenwood (In.) Center Grove product Caden Curry on Sunday evening, he announced on Twitter.
Grateful to receive an offer from University of Texas. Thank you to coach @CoachMarkHagen, and the rest of the staff! @TexasFootball #HookEm #ThisIsTexas pic.twitter.com/UsSdYFh46A

Curry’s Texas offer brings his total to 20, with Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Michigan, Oregon, and Penn State among the others involved.
“I talked to Oregon, Ohio State and Penn State and they’ve all had some real nice stuff on their zooms,” Curry told 247Sports Sports’ Steve Wiltfong.
The prominent programs in pursuit of the four-star talent are to be expected considering how much of a force Curry proved to be as a sophomore, amassing 100 total tackles, a remarkable 26.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
At this point, there are no Crystal Ball picks placed for the top prospect in Indiana.
The 6’5, 250-pound Curry is ranked as the nation’s No. 8 defensive tackle and as the No. 86 player overall, per the 247Sports Composite. He’s now one of seven 2022 defensive tackle prospects with a Texas offer.
